OXYCONTIN: Also known as oxycodone is a narcotic!
Prescribed for moderate to severe pain, it is quite often used for relief in cancer patients.
Because it is thought to stimulate the opiate receptors in the brain and spinal cord.
Oxycontin is available in various milligrams ranging from 5 mgs to 80 mgs.
It is a time release tablet which is effective for eight to twelve hours and not advised to be mixed with alcohol it could result in overdose or death.
Should not be taken if pregnant or if you are breast feeding it should not be taken it can have serious effects on the fetus and/or baby Please consult with your doctor about it for more information should this be the case.

Loss of appetite
